Pre-Entries are accepted through our online entry system ONLY. Please click the "Enter" tab above. While there are NO late fees, we strongly encourage you to pre-enter to guarantee splits. You will pay for your entries in cash when you arrive.
Entries open on August 15th at 12:01am MST and close September 10th at 12:00pm MST. This doesn't mean you have to pre-enter, but we strongly encourage it. Entries will be taken on site with NO LATE FEE but splits will not be guaranteed for late entries.
Plan on paying with CASH when you check in with the office. This year, stalls and hookups will be prepaid when you reserve them online. Details will be released soon.
We will do our best to have the draws ready by September 14th at 5pm. Please be patient. We will be processing a massive amount of data.
The KKRFV office handles their OWN entries. You MUST enter via their website: https://www.kkrunforvegas.com/#/.
The Jody Motley Memorial Barrel Race office has NO control over the draw OR entries for the KKRFV! You CANNOT enter the KKRFV on site.
ALL KKRFV entries are automatically rolled to the OPEN. If you wish to roll to another class, please do so at the office.
Stalls and hookups will go on sale August 1st at 8am MST. You will reserve them here at www.jodymotleymemorial.com under the "Stalls & Hookups" tab. We absolutely will not take any requests via e-mail, text, messenger, owl, pony express, snail mail, etc... If you would like to be near someone else, reserve your stalls at the same time.
Absolutely. Stalls and hookups are available at the fairgrounds in Torrington and must be reserved here on our website. They are limited, so we recommend reserving as soon as you can. Covered stalls are $25, uncovered stalls are $20, and hookups are $25 per night. We also have a few outside pens available for $50 for the weekend (Friday, Saturday night).
Yes, tie outs and portable pens are permitted. There is a simple, one-time $20 fee for the opportunity to stay at the facility and to help with the cleanup costs associated with people building pens. We issue you a tag for your trailer to indicate to us that you have paid the fee. We ask that you please be considerate of the amount of space you take up when building portable pens.
No. When you reserve stalls and/or hookups this year, payment is due immediately. From that point, they are your stalls. We will not handle a waitlist or selling of stalls. If you decide you don't need your stalls or hookup, you will be responsible for selling them to someone else. There are NO refunds.
We have created a Contestants Facebook group for contestants to use exactly for this purpose! It is an unmonitored group. We will not be assisting stall & RV hookup sales.
Please make sure to edit your entry and mark it as a turnout.

Novice Horse is a 4D on 1/2 second splits.

Yes. You can roll from the Novice Horse/Youth/Pee Wee to the Open. We are changing it this year to have everyone roll TO the OPEN not FROM the OPEN. This simplifies results and allows us to get all the averages calculated much quicker.
Pee Wee is 8 & under. Youth is 18 & Under. Novice Horses must NOT have won more than $2,500 in cumulative cash or prizes in their barrel racing career.
The pee wees ALL get prizes every day along with a payout. The pee wees also get the same quality buckle all the other classes get. It has been this way for many years and I believe we have given the best Pee Wee awards around for many years!
